We built the security company we wanted to hire.

CulperSec started from a practical frustration: too much security technology is expensive, difficult to operate, and disconnected from the people expected to use it. Too many services create reports without creating momentum.

We bring software, managed services, and professional expertise together so organizations can make security work as one program. That means building our own technology, working closely with customers, and staying accountable to what happens after a finding or recommendation is delivered.

The same approach extends to our partners. We design multi-tenant systems and repeatable services that help them deliver stronger outcomes without adding unnecessary operational burden.

Principles that show up in the work.

Values only matter when they shape product decisions, client conversations, and the way a team responds under pressure.

01

Make complexity usable

Security is already difficult. Our products and services should make the work clearer, faster, and easier to act on, not introduce another layer of overhead.

Simplicity by design

02

Move with urgency

Threats, incidents, and business decisions do not wait for slow processes. We build responsive systems and work with the pace security demands.

Speed with purpose

03

Stay adaptable

Technology and risk change constantly. We keep learning, adjust when the evidence changes, and avoid treating yesterday's assumptions as permanent answers.

Built to evolve

04

Work from customer reality

Useful security starts with the environment, people, constraints, and business goals in front of us. We listen closely and solve the problem that actually exists.

Customers at the center

05

Deliver more than the overhead

Strong security should create measurable value. We design efficient technology and practical services that improve outcomes without requiring excessive cost or complexity.

Value that holds up

Cybersecurity does not have to be slow, clunky, difficult, or overpriced.

Efficiency is not a shortcut. It is what makes better response, clearer operations, and stronger value possible. We build for the people doing the work, then remove everything that gets in their way.

Our namesake

Ingenuity under pressure.

CulperSec takes its name from the Culper Spy Ring, the intelligence network George Washington established around British-occupied New York City during the American Revolution.

Benjamin Tallmadge organized a network that used aliases, numerical codes, invisible ink, and carefully managed routes to move critical information. Its work demanded discretion, adaptability, and resourcefulness when the consequences of failure were real.

Those qualities still matter in security. Our name is a reminder to stay observant, think clearly under pressure, and build systems worthy of the trust placed in them.

Codes

The network used numerical codes, aliases, invisible ink, and trusted couriers to protect intelligence.

Invest beyond the engagement.

Research and development

We invest in building and improving our own security technology because the tools available to practitioners should keep pace with the work. Research, product development, and field experience inform one another across CulperSec.

Community

We support the next generation of technology and cybersecurity professionals through equipment, mentorship, and involvement with local schools. Better security depends on widening access to the field and sharing what we learn.
